Kenpo Karate is what John Monserrat has been studying for twenty years. John is a student of Skip Hancock. Skip Hancock was a student of the GrandMaster of the art, the late Edmund K. Parker. Skip Hancock founded his own schools and teaches Kenpo 2000. John earned his black belt in 2001 under the instruction of Skip Hancock. John has been teaching Kenpo Karate in his own school that he calls Millennium Kenpo since 2001 in Las Vegas Nevada. John is a great teacher who understands the art.

Ed Parker taught that in order to better understand and perform Kenpo Karate one must learn to accept the fact that danger exists, danger can and will happen to you. Simply by accepting the fact that danger does exist can make one better prepared when it does happen to them. Danger does exist. Violent crimes are on the rise. Violent street gangs roam are city streets committing violent and indiscriminant attacks.
